Single Harvest Tawny
Single Harvest Tawny
A limited edition celebrating 650 years of friendship between Portugal and England.
About
In 1373 Portugal and England signed the Anglo-Portuguese Treaty, a commitment to peace, friendship, and cooperation - which ultimately allowed families like ours of English, Scottish and Portuguese origin to put down roots in Porto and the Douro Valley. This remarkable port was produced in one of the finest vintages of the 21st century. It has been aged in cask at the Graham’s Lodge for over a decade, watched over by our cellarmaster, coopers, and tasters.
Tasting
This wine offers seductive aromas of caramel, toffee, English fruitcake, quince marmalade and a subtle hint of maple syrup. The palate has a voluptuous, rounded texture, with notes of walnuts, nutmeg and cigar box along with white pepper and tea. The finish is long and luscious.
Serving
It is recommended that the wine be served lightly chilled to enjoy it at its best. Once open, the wine will keep in good condition for up to 8 weeks.
